All Blogded out!

My blogging days are coming to an end. This is because I’m going to be finished soon with the class that requires it. Info about me on a blog will no longer be up to date. I think I’m okay with this. I’m sure some day when I’m married my wife will blog and I will often be mentioned in it. The point is, I won’t have to be the one writing the blog and coming up with random things just to keep my followers satisfied. I realized today that I have one follower. So I clicked on the follower and it turns out it was me, haha. I forgot that I chose to follow myself because I think it’s funny that you can follow yourself. Since I forgot about this, I might myself laugh all over again.

With school coming to an end, these are actually getting more stressful, not less. I have tons of review sessions I have to make it to, as well as continue to work my 20 hours per week. On top of these reviews, I still have other assignments I need to do and turn in even though classes are already over. Most of my tests have a horrific amount of information I need to study in order to be somewhat ready to succeed.
So if I survive this week, then you can see me in person if you wish. Otherwise, farewell everyone.

This week was CRAZY for me. On April Fools it snowed. Such a tricky sky. It is snowing today on April 4th as well, sheesh. For April Fools I couldn’t think of anything good to do, so at work I just wrote all of night-crew’s names up on the board a few days early that we were taking 4/1 off. I don’t think he got the joke because the day before April 1 our names were off the board and there was a note that said “No taking off days and writing your name on the board unless you have talked to me first.” Haha, it sounds like my new boss doesn’t have a sense of humor. Oh well, it was worth it.
Last week my boss was supposedly sick so the boss for custodial at the health center was coming over to check on us to see how things were going. He tends to work us a lot harder than our boss Mark. If there isn’t any work to do, he makes something up for us to do. The other day we finished everything we were supposed to and more, so he told us to go dust the walls in the building. DUST THE WALLS??? Maybe if they were nice walls and were dusty I would understand. These walls have dents all over and are ugly, but have no dust on them. Turns out my boss got fired for not working us hard enough, so now we are stuck with this workaholic.
I’ve been using the trial edition of Microsoft Office because the 2010 version is coming out this year so I don’t want to waste my money on the 2007 version. Well, the day I really needed word, excel, and powerpoint for school, was the day that the 60-day trial ran out.
I uninstalled Microsoft Office and re-downloaded and installed the trial version. It still didn’t work. So I figured that the program was leaving something in my registry even after I uninstalled it. I decided that this dirty trick needed to have a dirty trick played back on it. So I went into my registry, found the information they were hiding on my computer, and tweaked the info a little bit. Then I installed the trial and I have 60 more days of free Microsoft Office.
I do plan on buying 2010 when it comes out.

Say WHAT?

This week my older sister just had another baby. Now I have two nieces. I have yet to see them but I will probably be back in Arizona for a week or so this summer. I will be able to see my sister’s family at that time.

I have been accepted to BYU Hawaii as well as UVU. I have applied to several schools just in case I don’t get accepted into the accounting program up here at BYU Provo. If I don’t get accepted here, I will definitely choose to go to BYU Hawaii. My little sister is down there right now and she will be able to show the fun stuff to do down there. Now I only need to wait for BYU to let me know. I probably won’t get my answer until end of spring term. Luckily I’m totally okay with leaving here and going to Hawaii, so it’s not a big enough deal for me to change my major just to stay here. BYU isn’t THAT good.

I probably already talked about this in another blog but I’m too lazy to read below to make sure.

Partay!

Whoa, I almost forgot to do my blog. I’ve almost missed writing my blog two weeks in a row now. One of these days I’m going to forget until it’s too late; then I’ll get a big fat F!

Just to catch up on my last blog, we did end up going to Cabela’s but I didn’t get anything. My roommate on the other hand got himself a blowgun. I already have one so afterwards we both went around shooting things. Also, Utah just billed me for the concealed weapons license, so my credentials must have gone through. I’m expecting to see the new ID come in soon.

My co-workers wanted to have a big LAN party this weekend, so I decided to make their dreams come true. I set up the LAN party to be over at my place and got my co-workers and well as my roommates to join in. In total there were nine of us. It started at 7 PM and lasted to 7 AM, with a break from 12-1 PM for a meal at Denny’s. My roommates all passed out before 7 AM and so it ended up being just me and my co-workers till early morning. League of Legends is just too fun.

After everyone went home, I knew that I wouldn’t wake up on time for church if I went to bed. So I stayed up for a few more hours before going to church. All I could see was the game in my head and hear the game as well as my buddies yelling. For some reason I wasn’t tired at all. I think playing a game that intense all night messes with one’s brain.

After church I went to bed to try to force myself to sleep. It took quite a while but I eventually managed. I got five hours and it felt like plenty. Now I have just been doing homework and cleaning around the house. I hope my brain completely recovers before school starts tomorrow.

Oh great, I just realized I forgot to take any picture of our big party. NOOOOO!!!!!!!!

BLOGGAGE

Oh I almost forgot to write my blog this week for school. That would be such a disaster. I think I would crap my pants. I might just do that as celebration anyways. Celebrate what you ask? Celebrate me remembering to do this blog yo.

Last Saturday I took a concealed firearms class. So soon I will be able to carry around a pistol with me. The funny thing is that I just got accepted to BYU Hawaii. My permit won’t work there so if I go then this class was a waste of money. On the bright side, it lasts five years and then I just have to send in a form to get it renewed without taking the class again. So I guess it wasn’t a complete waste.

Tomorrow we are going to go to Cabela’s to look at guns anyway. Maybe if I have time I’ll even go grab my sniper rifle at my bro’s storage shed and go target practicing. Well, I think that’s it for my boring weekly blog. Time to do homework or something.

Bored again.

This has been a boring week. I spent Monday doing homework and trying to learn how to play the guitar. Then Tuesday and Wednesday were too busy days in a row. Lucky for me, work was slow so I had a chance to get my accounting homework done at work. It was due by 10:30 PM and I work till 11:00 PM, so I was really risking it by planning on doing the homework during that time, but I didn’t really have much of a choice.

I plan on going paintballing with my roommates this Saturday. I still need to find out where to rent paintballing stuff and buy good but inexpensive paintballs and CO2. I have my own gear so it’s really my roommates and other friends who are going to need to get that stuff. I already know of a place in the middle of nowhere that is good in the summer. I hope it is good in the winter as well.

Well, I’m still at work and need to go get some done.

Snowboarding

First off I would like to point out that I didn't give anyone a "coke." I had a root beer sitting in my car for like a week, and then I put it someone, but wasn't sure where. I saw a bum on the road and thought, "Hey, I want to give that guy my root beer for my class assignment." Turns out the root beer wasn't in my car anymore. Dang!

This Friday I went snowboarding and nearly killed myself. I let some skier friends talk me into taking a jump that was way too big for me. I learned that when you think you are about to die, or get seriously injured, you life doesn't flash before your eyes. Either that or I had nothing important to flash back to me. I just remember flying through the air for an extended period of time (in my mind at least). I must have fallen seven or eight feet before landing on my butt at high speeds. I tried to roll it to my back to absorb some of the fall, but it still hurt real badly. I'm going to be sore for a while, but I have to admit, I've had worse snowboarding. Why do I keep going snowboarding; I guess I'm just crazy.

Well, at least I got a good view when I accidentally went on a double black diamond (Yeah, like a cliff with moguls on it).

Bonfire

Oh, something else I forgot to mention. On Friday night, my roommate and I decided to had a bonfire that we set up. We invited people who invited other people. So there were quite a few of us. Everyone followed me to a spot I know about by Utah Lake. I also had all the pallets for burning (yeah I know thats not exactly legal). When we got there, the lake wasn't completely frozen over and covered in snow--something I wasn't expecting.
There were people camped out with tents set on the lake. So we decided to build our bonfire about 50 feet out on the lake. Yeah it sounds like a bad idea, but we did it anyway. Surprisingly the bonfire hardly melted the ice at all; I guess that was because it was so cold outside. Some of us decided to walk farther out onto the lake. We walked about a football field distance out onto the lake. Then some fog rolled in to where we couldn't see well. It was a little freaky being on a perfectly flat, white ground and thick fog, and then see people appear out of the fog right in front of you. We were able to find our way back because we could still see the bonfire.
So everything went well. The ice didn't ever break, we got to experience some fun stuff, and the sheriff that came didn't do anything to us for burning pallets. He only told us not to burn pallets and clean it up when we were done. We never cleaned it up. I'm okay with it sinking into the lake when the ice melts in the summer. Utah Lake is the nastiest lake I've ever seen anyway, so I don't care much. Probably only alien, or severely deformed fishes could live in there I bet, lol.

I would have taken pictures but my battery was dead.

Lotion

So, today something funny and annoying happened. I use a lotion that uses a screw-on top. It’s the type where you have to put your fingers in to get it out, rather than just squirting it out. One of my roommates has a similar one, but keeps it in a different place. Anyway, last semester someone used his lotion, and he got mad and wrote “do not touch, keep out” all over the jar. A week later mine got used by someone else. I could tell because the person had dug his hand way deep into the lotion. I was annoyed because that is disgusting, so I wrote all over mine as well and hid it under the sink.
This week someone used my lotion again anyway; whoever it was even dug his hands way in again. I was pretty annoyed and so I asked all my roommates about it. All my roommates denied doing it. So now I’m just annoyed that one of my roommates is downright lying to me. The fact that they choose to lie to me over a little lotion makes me wonder how much I can trust this roommate, whoever it may be.

The semi-colon

One of these days I'm going to get some pictures up here--maybe. So until then, here is what I wrote about semi-colons.

Semi-colons are the bomb diggidy; they are the most awesome thing ever. In reality, I still don't completely understand semi-colons or how to use them. I suppose you can write much more effectively using semi-colons and their buddy the hyphen. I think the hyphen looks cooler; it stands out more because it looks so different from other punctuation--you can easily see what I mean. A semi-colon is better than a colon because a semi-colonoscopy doesn't sound as bad as the full thing.

Ah, Finally

So, things are finally getting better for me. My stomach flu is all gone. I ended up not going snowboarding last week because I didn’t think I would have the energy. I’m glad I made that decision because the next day I went to Salt Lake to play Laser-tag with my cousins and even that got me exhausted. Even today, almost a week later, I went to the gym to lift weights and I felt a little weaker than normal.

Laser-tag with my cousins was fun. I haven’t seen my cousins in many years and so I don’t remember them very well. Dad decided to help us all get to know one another better; so he set up this activity and sent me the money to pay for everyone to come along. It was nice getting to know my cousins even though fewer showed up than I expected. I only wish someone had a camera with them so we could take pictures of the event. I guess I had my phone but I even forgot to use that. Oh well, maybe in 10 years we will do this again and get some pictures.

Sick Sucks

This week didn’t go nearly as well as I would have liked. My brother just moved back to Provo and my dad came up to visit. Sounds like things would go pretty well for me. Well, I ended up getting the stomach flu Wednesday morning. Turns out my dad got the same thing so it must be something we ate at CafĂ© Rio. I missed all my classes on Wednesday and Thursday so that’s going to be a pain catching up in school. I also planned to go snowboarding at Brighton Friday night. I think I might be good enough to go, but I’m so exhausted from barfing for a full day that I’m going to have to take it easy on the slopes. My dad has it worse, he had to drive back home today, so he has to stop every few minutes because of his diarrhea. If you are reading my blog, I’m sorry you had to read this. Anyway, hopefully my blog next week will have a little less complaining.

Blog Numero Two

K, so classes aren't blurred in my brains anymore. Now I'm just at work; really bored. I have no idea if I just used that semi-colon correctly but I did it to make my teacher happy. He probably won't ever even read this. I'm supposed to have 150 words minimum for each blog I do, so I just need to find a word count thing on this blogger. So anyway, to fill up space, I'm going to write down an in-class assignment I did today. We had to write what our favorite punctuation mark is. This is what I wrote:

My favorite punctuation mark is the period. You can see that I already used it. That is how much I enjoy putting a period at the end of sentences. I can't seem to stop myself. The period means I'm done and can move on to something else, or some other thought. The only time I might not enjoy a period would be if I was a woman.

Maybe next time I'll blog blog away.

Blog Numero Uno

My first week at school has been a little more overwhelming than I first expected. I'm not taking a lot of classes but the ones that I have chosen have a large workload scheduled for me. The majority of my classes are in the business building on campus timed to be one right after the other. On top of that, two of my classes required me to get a book and a packet, but one of those classes said to hold off on the packet and I can't remember which class that was. So all my classes are starting to jumble together in my mind. I've talked to some people that have taken these classes and they say I'm crazy for trying to take them all at once. Apparently even the councilors strongly discourage it. After the second day of these business classes things have started to unscramble in my mind so I think there is a chance that I'll be okay this semester. Either way, I want to get these classes out of the way so I can hurry and find out if I'll get accepted into the accounting program. If not I can just move on to another school and stop stressing over what's going to happen to me in the near future.
